MINERAL BLUFF

Downtown Mineral Bluff

Nestled in the scenic North Georgia mountains, Mineral Bluff is a peaceful community that blends natural beauty with historic charm. Located just northeast of Blue Ridge, this unincorporated town offers a serene retreat while remaining close to outdoor adventure, mountain culture, and modern amenities.

Founded in the late 1800s, Mineral Bluff thrived with the arrival of the Marietta and North Georgia Railroad. The town’s beautifully restored Mineral Bluff Depot, originally built in 1887, still stands today as a reminder of its historic role as a bustling rail hub and a popular destination for those seeking the rejuvenating powers of its mineral springs. Though the springs have faded from fame, the town retains its timeless appeal.

For outdoor enthusiasts, Toccoa River provides year-round opportunities for kayaking, trout fishing, tubing, and riverside relaxation. Hiking trails, including the Benton MacKaye Trail, weave through the surrounding Appalachian landscape with routes suitable for

all skill levels. Horseback riders can explore the region through guided tours from Appalachian Trail Rides, set on 250 acres

of private land.

Golfers can enjoy the nearby Old Toccoa Farm Golf Course, an award-winning public course with panoramic mountain views and a riverfront layout. Families also love Horseshoe Bend Park, a scenic riverside park with picnic areas, a playground, and local music events in the warmer months.

Mineral Bluff may be small, but it has a vibrant spirit. Dining options include rustic taverns and riverside restaurants, and the nearby Blue Ridge area offers additional shopping, art galleries, wineries, and entertainment.

Real estate here ranges from cozy cabins to luxury mountain homes, often nestled among forests, riverfronts, and rolling hills. Its natural beauty, peaceful setting, and proximity to adventure make Mineral Bluff an ideal place to visit—or to call home.
